Over three centuries of Italian winemaking tradition support the Pisano family in the artisanal production of fine wines. In Uruguay the family's history begins in 1870 with Francesco Pisano; in 1914 Dom Césare Secundino Pisano settled in Progreso and planted the original vineyards.

The 1924 harvest allowed the production of the family's first wine, an experience brought from Liguria that endures in the making of wines such as the Torrontes Cisplatino.
